Milo is a one year old Sheltie mix puppy. He was picked out of the shelter by our foster mommy Chris Burns. Chris is a sucker for the sick and/or disabled, and in this case, poor little Milo had a cleft palate that she just couldn't pass up! To make matters worse, poor Milo's owners relinquished him to the shelter saying nothing more than 'we don't want him anymore'. Milo deserves so much more than that. Milo is fun and loving and gets along great with other dogs. He is housebroken and loves being in the house where he feels safe. He is also crate trained...taking naps in his crate in the afternoon when he gets tired (the crate is ... (Read More)left open for him). Milo gets a little car sick on curvy rides, but we don't believe he ever was exposed to fun rides or the kind of outings dogs love. Milo has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. These pups were all abandonded Meet, Leona(female), Luigi (Male), Lilliana (Female), Luciano (Male) and Lucio (Male-Adopted). Leona, Luigi and Lilliana are probable siblings and we are calling them Sheltie/Shepherd mixes. They are probably going to be in the 30 to 40lb range. They are simply just beautiful dogs. Leona has a longer chiseled face in which I think is so refined and beautiful. Lillana has a thicker muzzle. and Luigi has smaller features on his face. Luciano and his brother Lucio (Adopted) are possibly Dobie/Shepherd mixes. All are around 5-6 months old. All are on a vaccine schedule, de-wormed, fecal tested, micro-chipped, ... | PIease Read Before Adopting a Shetland Sheepdog in California | |||||||||
Shetland Sheepdogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. The Shetland Sheepdog is a small bushy dog resembling a miniature Collie. Shelties are curious, intelligent, and eager to please. Shetland Sheepdogs are very pleasant companions. Shelties are excellent with family children but are wary of child or adult strangers. Shelties need to be with their people. The Sheltie will chase cars if not kept on a leash. Shetland Sheepdogs can live in an apartment with plenty of exercise.
