Please Share - Chicago, IL - Jake and Leo Need a Loving Home Together Leo and Jake are a pair of delightfully sweet Border Collie-mixes looking for a loving guardian - preferably together. Leo looks like he's mixed with Sheltie, and Jake is mixed with Aussie. These boys were dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control when their human mom could no longer care for them. She was seen sobbing hysterically as she gave them up. Sadly when they were brought to the shelter, Leo, who is about five years old and 31 pounds, was sent to the adoption floor and his best friend Jake, who is about ten years old and 74 pounds, was put on the ... (Read More)euthanasia list due to his age. Luckily a caring volunteer saw the scene and took them both home! Their foster mom reports that these boys are absolute gems with wonderful dispositions. They are bonded to each other, but also full of kisses and tail wags for people of all ages and other dogs. They have proven perfectly housebroken, great on stairs, walks on leash, great in the yard and in the car. They sleep on the floor in their foster mom's bedroom. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Leo and Jake, please fill in an on-line adoption application at http://fortunatelabrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html and follow up by contacting the rescue at info@fortunatelabrescue.org or 773-318-2239 or you can also contact their foster mom Amy directly for more information at amysusanbrennan@aol.com or 773-727-9340. Their adoption fee as a pair of $325 benefits Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. Leo and Jake are healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested, and micro-chipped. (Less)

Meet Casey's Safe Haven, (all foster home based) 'W' puppies...an absolutely beautiful litter of what we believe may be Corgi mixes. Well socialized, raised in a home with children and other dogs, they have great all around personalities. These pups were found in Kentucky and rescued by one of our wonderful 'sisters in rescue'. If they entered the local shelter, we knew they had little chance of making it out since there are SO MANY homeless puppies in the spring. She contacted Casey's Safe Haven to see if we could accept them into our adoption program. They are all looking for that perfect family to call their own. It is important, due to ... (Read More)their age and desire for human companionship that someone is home with them during the day. Our adoption fee is $295 and includes spay or neuter when age appropriate, up-to-date on shots, fecal, deworming, frontline, 1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, micro-chipping and 30 days of shelter care insurance. Your entire family must be present if you would like to be considered for adoption. Please email Caseysdogs@yahoo.com for an application. (Less)
