Rescue Me ID: 15-08-12-00419Lil Princess (female)

Shetland Sheepdog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lil Princess is dark sable in color and small for a purebred Sheltie, about 12 lbs. Lil Princess is a gentle, easy going, quiet, but shy little girl. She loves to sit on your lap and get her daily massage. This is my way to relieve tension and relaxing a dog in a new environment. For a 7 yr old dog, she is willing to learn my routine and quickly learns from all the other dogs. She is fine with cats and new dogs. She is crate trained and house trained. She has only known life as a breeder, so as of right now she does not know how to play with toys or know any training commands. Everything is new for her. She would fit best in a home with ... (Read More)someone who is not looking for a dog to play ball or any other dog games. She would make a great companion for someone who likes to go for short walks on a leash and has a laid back easy way of life. We are looking for a home who will keep Lil Princess and her mate (Sailor) together. She would not be happy as an only dog in the house. She will need a fenced in yard as she was keep kenneled her 7 yrs of life. She is up to date on vaccinations, recent dental, tested Heartworm negative and spayed. No small children. Lil Princess and Sailor are fostering in Franksville, WI. Please contact Cindy at cjmikis@yahoo.com or (262) 672-5924. The adoption fee for Lil Princess and Sailor together is $500. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-12-00401Sailor (male)

Shetland Sheepdog    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sailor is a Tri color small male Sheltie. He is very shy and seemed to have not been held much. He spent 4 yrs of his life in a kennel as a breeder. He will need a fenced yard. He doesn't know basic commands or how to play with toys. Shelties are smart little dogs and, being a herding breed, love to learn. Both Lil Princess and Sailor would enjoy a basic obedience class. At times he will try to get away if I hold him too long. When I talk to him, he wags his tail and wants to know me better, but not so sure if he can trust me yet. He gets along with all my other dogs and cat. He needs a patient person who is willing to take time and let him ... (Read More)come to you. He will be a very nice little companion, very quiet and is crate trained. He is doing well with house training. He gets the run of the house for short periods of time after he has done his business outside. Sailor and Lil Princess would make a nice pair of companion dogs for anyone who would love and enjoy this wonderful breed. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, recent dental, and tested heartworm positive. He has had his treatment and is finishing up on his medication. No small children. Lil Princess and Sailor are fostering in Franksville, WI. Please contact Cindy at cjmikis@yahoo.com or (262) 672-5924. The adoption fee for Lil Princess and Sailor together is $500. (Less)
